Day 2 Recap

The Luther Invitational Tournament is now ⅔ complete! Mark Becker (LIT organizer) described the day as filled with a “competitive yet friendly atmosphere”: each team battled to secure their positions for the Saturday night games. The sportsmanship from the fans, which is a core value at LIT, was increased to higher levels throughout the day, resulted in the boost of confidence for the players. There were a lot of close games, impressive baskets, and many surprise dunks made.

After some intense games between all teams the outcome was clear: the Sisler Spartans will face off against the Cardston Cougars in the boys’ tournament finals, while the Campbell Tartans and Magrath Pandas will compete against each other in the girls’ division later at night. Both the Campbell Tartans and the Luther Lions (boys), and Centennial Chargers) and the Leboldus Golden Sun (girls) will go head to head in the consolation finals this afternoon.
