Saskatoon Marion Graham Falcons

First in their league this year and last, the Marion Graham Falcons from Saskatoon have a clear winning streak in their team history. In the last three years, the Falcons have finished 3rd provincially twice, won the Saskatoon League title twice, and won the Saskatoon City Championship once. Three players are returning to LIT this year, after being here two years ago, winning against Regina’s Campbell Collegiate for the consolation side of the draw. Some notable players are: Connor Sparks, in Grade 12, who signed with Sacramento State NCAA, a Div 1 school for baseball; Adam Dyck, also in Grade 12, who played on the Saskatchewan Indigenous Games team this past summer; Andrew Ayad, Grade 12, who is a positive team player and three-point shooter; and Alexander Dewar, who is likely to be a top high school prospect in the province, and one of the top in Western Canada -- he signed with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies this winter. In Grade 10, when he played in LIT, Dewar was an All Star, and he placed 7th for all time total points in a single LIT appearance. Other noteworthy players from the team are Owen Hoffart and Ashton Taylor, two Grade 11’s with outstanding athletic skill; Ben Gaskin and Nolan Sparks, who are in Grade 10 and shaking up the team; and Taylor Matheson, who brings extreme positive energy, skill, and encouragement to the team. LIT is so honoured to have such a talented and successful team in the tournament this year, especially one that is so strongly led by empathetic and inclusive leaders. Each player, manager, and coach comes together as a catalyst to those they play with to help each other reach their full potential.
